Joe Lambert mastered Evette along with lots of other great records. Highly recommended for mastering.

Paleface is a veteran of the anti-folk scene. We had a chance to play with him recently at the Blue Nile in Harrisonburg. He was Beck Hanson's mentor in NYC.

Bombadil - great band, label-mates with the Avett Brothers. Played with them at the Paleface show.

The Rosebuds are a trio, but they were a duo back when we first met them back in 2004. "There is a light that will never go out will never ever die, oh my" is a great line.

John Vanderslice runs Tiny Telephone studios and has recorded bands like Spoon and the Mountain Goats. He's got some great records under his own name and is a magnificent guy to boot:

Pattern is Movement is a progressive math-rock band out of Philly. Another band we keep crossing paths with. When we first played with them, they had a big group but now they are down to two, with no loss of power. I wore their t-shirt nearly every day for a few months in 2006, and there are lots of pictures to prove it.

Sufjan Stevens was on his Seven Swans tour when we first met him, just before he became a big deal. We should have known something was up when we saw the line around the block for an afternoon set by a guy with a funny name:

The Goddamn Rattlesnake is the nome d'plume of a guy named Jay. He's a part of the hick-punk revival in NYC. He plays a six-string banjo and has a voice straight out of the Sex Pistols.

Poorboy Johnson AKA Fletcher Johnson is Rattlesnake's old partner, but now has a band called "Teenage Prayers". He has a real understated presence and great song.

Brownbird Rudy Relic plays a dobro with no amplification, stomping his feet and yelling old time music. You won't believe it until you see it. He has perfected the art of busking.

Mild Winter is the hardest working band in the Shenandoah Valley.

Perkasie a great band with terrific songs and a fun live show.
