The Goal is to Finish

I made progress towards the EP yesterday, recording synths for one of the songs and completing another one.

I think one of the biggest challenges with making creative things is you have the "greats" rattling around in your head all the time. The gap between what you do and what you know to be great will probably always be enormous. It can be paralyzing.

No matter. My goal right now is not to be great. My goal is to get these songs to the level of "done" using the tools and skills that I have available to me right now. Nothing more, nothing less.
